    You could say potatoes are in Ryan Wahlens’ blood. He’s a 4th generation potato farmer and a proud supplier of spuds for McAlister's® Spuds. In fact, he’s worked the potato harvest since he was 8 years old. Since then he’s been involved in every aspect of potato farming. So he knows the care that goes into each potato.

    “We have very high quality standards,” he told us. Every part of the process is quality monitored, from seed to storage. “All our operations are USDA and GAP certified for food safety. Our packing facility is audited annually and maintains a Superior rating.” They don’t just rely on third party audits however, they have a whole food safety staff on site to monitor the crop and improve standards. They’re proof that expertise matters.

    That’s why McAlister’s only gets Russet Burbank potatoes from the best farmers, in the best areas. They produce a lighter, fluffier baked potato.
